The SOS welcomes Matt Coler as our newest Board Member! After earning his Ph.D. at the Free University Amsterdam in 2010, Matt transitioned to the private sector working at a tech start-up focusing on audition and AI. Five years later, he returned to academia when he accepted a position at the interdisciplinary Faculty Campus Fryslân of the University of Groningen. Currently he is Director of the Voice Technology MSc program, which launches in September 2021. This unique program, developed with input from SOS and in close cooperation with partners in industry, provides expertise in speech recognition and voice synthesis. Matt will work with SOS to extend the mission and vision of the Foundation to this masters program and connect to new regional and European initiatives. Welcome!
